Using the comparison service
Terms and conditions
These terms explain the role of Compare Movers - Thames Valley, the limits of planning information and what to check before choosing a moving company.
Last updated: 6 August 2026
About the service
Compare Movers - Thames Valley is an independently operated UK sole-trader moving-comparison, information and lead-introduction service provided through slough-houseremovals.uk. It is not a limited company. It does not operate vehicles, perform removals, sell removal services or become a party to a customer's moving contract.
Information, planning ranges and introductions
The website provides moving information, indicative planning estimates where available and introductions to moving partners. A planning range is not a final quotation and does not bind a moving company. A mover may need to clarify the inventory, access, route, timing and requested services before giving its own written price.
Submitting a request does not create a booking. Availability and responses depend on the route, date, workload and partners choosing to respond. We do not guarantee availability, a particular number of responses, a response time, a quote, a price or a successful booking.
Your information and use of the website
You must provide information you are entitled to share and take reasonable care that the move, access and contact details are accurate. Changes to the inventory, route, date, stairs, parking, carrying distance or requested services can change a planning range or mover price.
Do not misuse the forms, submit unlawful or deliberately misleading information, interfere with security, scrape personal information or attempt to access private systems. We may reject incomplete, abusive or unsafe requests. Personal-information use is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Partner review and customer due diligence
Partner applicants and relevant business, identity, insurance and supporting credential evidence are reviewed before acceptance. This review is not a permanent guarantee that every credential remains current or that a mover will be suitable for every move.
Before accepting a quote or making a booking, carry out your own due diligence. Check the mover's current trading identity, insurance, credentials, written scope of work, price, exclusions and terms. You decide which removal company to use.
Your contract with a mover
Moving companies may contact you directly after receiving a suitable request. Any quotation, booking or moving contract is made directly between you and the moving company you choose. Compare Movers - Thames Valley is not a party to that contract and does not control the mover's availability, pricing, vehicles, crew, terms or performance.
Responsibility and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, Compare Movers - Thames Valley is not responsible for an independent mover's acts, omissions, pricing, availability, loss, damage or contract performance. Website information is general planning guidance rather than legal, financial or professional advice.
You should retain written quotes, scope, terms and important correspondence from any mover you consider. Questions about a booking, payment, cancellation, delay, damage or claim must be addressed to the moving company with which you contracted.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the website useful, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every item of general information will remain current. We may update pages, functions and these terms when the service or legal requirements change.
Contact and governing law
